William Leaf-Herrmann, Strategic Decisions Group, Partner

William leads Strategic Decisions Group’s North American life science practice, bringing over 30 years of experience in corporate, therapeutic, product, and portfolio strategy for life science clients. He also has experience in diverse sectors such as financial services, automotive, chemicals, and technology. He holds a PhD from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University. William was a Churchill Scholar at Cambridge University and is a Fellow in the Society of Decision Professionals.

Leandro Basilio, CEO at Deep Seed Solutions

Leandro Basilio, CEO of Deep Seed Solutions, brings over 25 years of mechanical industry expertise, notably in Automotive and Oil and Gas equipment design and manufacturing. He has held key positions at renowned companies like Petrobras, Wood, Caram, Surco, and Michelin. With 15+ years of leadership in oil and gas projects, including offshore production systems, he's focused on international growth, digital transformation, capital project efficiency, and the energy transition. Leandro holds a Master of Science in Oil and Energy from the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, an Executive MBA from Fundação Dom Cabral (FDC), and is PMP-PMI certified.

 

Peter Ray, Independent Consultant 

Peter is a seasoned life sciences executive, adept at leading diverse teams and addressing R&D productivity challenges in biopharma. He excels in translating data into actionable growth and sustainability strategies. As VP, Head of Strategy at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, he shaped corporate strategy, optimized the pipeline, and led strategic initiatives. At Celgene, he influenced corporate strategy and portfolio prioritization. At Bristol-Myers Squibb, he achieved a 5x ROI boost and $14B value increase through portfolio management. He holds an MBA from Stanford, a BA from Harvard, and serves on the board of the Society of Decision Professionals. 


Beaumont Vance, Managing Director WestCap Management Growth Private equity fund and CEO/ Founder, Venture Science Group

Beaumont is the CEO of Venture Science, a WestCap company. Prior to joining WestCap, he was the head of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Emerging Technology at TD AmeriTrade. In this role, he was charged with creating enterprise AI and data science platforms and led the Enterprise Analytics department as well as the Emerging Technologies Laboratory. Before Ameritrade, he was at Fidelity Investments where he built the first Advanced Analytics function serving the entire firm. Prior to shifting his focus to data science and technology, he served as Head of Risk and Insurance at Fidelity, specializing in risk quantification, capital management and captive insurance vehicles.
