For September 18, 2025 4:00 - 5:30pm PDT, we are excited to have Vancouver Chapter Members Basil Stumberg and Lauren Simpson of BC Hydro share their experiences with the usefulness of Corporate Objectives Hierarchies.
When approaching a new, complex problem, we often hear the helpful suggestion that borrowing an existing decision framework might accelerate the planning process. Taken a step further, this idea becomes the use of a standardized set of decision objectives across multiple decisions.
In this session, Basil and Lauren will explore how this plays out within a large corporation like BC Hydro, where teams face numerous, recurring decisions. They will highlight the efficiency vs. comprehensiveness trade-off, shedding light on when this type of "short-cut" adds value-and when it may not.
