Decision Quality Europe 2026 Conference
Decision Leadership in an Uncertain World
Learn More
The decisions that define the next decade are being made now — under uncertainty no model fully anticipates.
DQ Europe 2026 brings together leaders responsible for high-stakes decisions in strategy, capital allocation, risk, energy transition, innovation, and organisational transformation. Taking place at the Shell Energy Transition Campus Amsterdam (ETCA) on November 11–12, 2026, the conference provides a unique opportunity to learn from experienced practitioners, decision leaders, and experts from across Europe and beyond.
While AI has dramatically increased analytical capabilities, it has not automatically improved decision-making. The gap between a high-quality analysis and a high-quality decision remains a leadership challenge—one that the Decision Quality community has been addressing for decades through proven frameworks, rigorous thinking, and practical application.
The conference follows the complete lifecycle of a major organisational decision—from identifying emerging opportunities and risks, through capital allocation and strategic commitment, to evaluating outcomes and learning from results. Every session is designed around this narrative arc and grounded in real-world decision challenges.
Hosted at Shell's Energy Transition Campus Amsterdam, where large-scale capital, risk, and energy transition decisions are actively managed under uncertainty, the venue itself reflects the themes and challenges explored throughout the conference.
The programme is organized around three core themes:
- Framing the Decision – Defining the right problem, alternatives, and objectives before committing resources.
- Commitment Under Uncertainty – Understanding risk, alignment, execution, and making the call when the future remains uncertain.
- Frontiers in Decision Quality – Exploring AI, behavioural science, Bayesian thinking, and emerging applications of decision science.
We have also launched the Call for Presentations, Posters, and Workshops and invite professionals, practitioners, researchers, and decision leaders to contribute to the programme and share their experiences with the global Decision Quality community.
