NewsDecision Education Foundation (DEF) to make film featuring DAS/SDP 2014 Practice Award winner
The Decision Education Foundation (DEF) has announced that they are partnering with a young filmmaker, Jonah Mosshamer, to create a documentary film that highlights how Decision Analysis can impact societal decision-making. The film chronicles the participation of Max Henrion (SDP Fellow) in a project aimed at deciding what to do with decommissioned oil rigs off the coast of Southern California. This work, "From controversy to consensus: A decision analysis for decommissioning California's offshore oil platforms," won the DAS/SDP Practice Award in 2014 and was published in OR/MS Today in February, 2015.
