Abstract

Acquiring the skills of a Decision Professional isn’t easy. Many of us “never went to school for this” and were fortunate to pick up the basics from more experienced colleagues, or a professional certificate program, or from intense self-study - only to then spend years of trial and error honing our craft.

After teaching decision-making skills through traditional classroom methods for more than a decade, the team now at Cohearity asked a critical question: “If we wanted to 10x our ability to develop people with skills in DQ/DA, without adding any more instructors, how would we do it?”

Their answer – and how they ultimately put it into practice – is the focus of this webinar, one of the highest rated talks from SDP’s Annual Conference earlier this year. Meet the Speakers

Jim Driscoll
Partner & Co-Founder, Cohearity

Jim is a Partner and Co-Founder at Cohearity where he works with leaders and teams to create more decisive and cohesive organizations. Prior to founding Cohearity, Jim established the Center for Decision Leadership at Intel Corporation where he and his team added over $50B in value through better, faster decisions and trained over 4K leaders in the use of Decision Quality.

Jim has served several terms on the SDP Board of Directors and was elected President of the Society in 2018. He is a graduate of the University of Oregon and holds a Professional Certificate in Strategic Decisions and Risk Management from Stanford University.

He and his family live in Portland, Oregon.

Jordan Stephens
Partner & Co-Founder, Cohearity

Jordan is co-founder and partner at Cohearity, which helps leaders and teams act on what matters with less frustration and more engagement. Prior to Cohearity, Jordan spent two decades at Intel, primarily with the Center for Decision Leadership, where he worked on some of Intel’s most consequential decisions and taught decision-making to thousands. Prior to Intel, Jordan was a North Korea analyst with the CIA. He holds BAs in International Relations and Korean from Brigham Young University and an MBA from London Business School.
Jordan has served as a member of the SDP Board of Directors and sits on the Certification Council.

He resides in Arizona with his family.
