Abstract:
Speaker Carl Spetzler seeks feedback as he prepares his keynote address on this topic for the upcoming European DQ conference.
Until now, rigorous Decision Quality (DQ) has been the domain of trained decision professionals. AI now offers an intelligent vehicle that lets everyday decision makers apply DQ principles effectively after just one hour of βdriver training.β Organizations can realistically make high-quality decision making accessible across the entire enterprise β not only on strategic decisions, but from the front line to the C-suite.
When DQ becomes the standard for all significant decisions, with clear decision records, organizations gain true learning systems free of hindsight bias. Enterprise-wide UDQ promises enormous value. Yet major social, organizational, and technical challenges remain. If we overcome them, the DQ paradigm can finally become truly universal.
About the Speaker:
Carl Spetzler is an author, consultant, teacher, and frequent speaker in the field of strategic decision making. He is the president of the Ron A. Howard Community, a San Francisco Bay Area-based chapter of the Society of Decision Professionals.
