Abstract: In this tech-industry case study, we chronicle a tech company’s switch from a very conservative entry into a new consumer product market segment to an aggressive strategy to achieve market dominance. We describe our steps as consultants to get the right frame, creative, mild-to-wild alternatives, and the decision analysis tools and quantitative displays we used to illuminate the risks and rewards of the aggressive approach.
