Panel: Cassie Kozyrkov, Google; Michael Norton, Harvard Business School; Clint Korver, Ulu Ventures; Dan Connors, Boulder AI

Presented at the 2019 DAAG Conference in Denver.  Hi-Tech Mini-Conference

Abstract: Humans have been building more and more tools to augment ourselves. For instance, we now have tools to collaborate on a document simultaneously. These are becoming accessible and democratized. This presents a big opportunity. DQ per capita is low if our model of training only a select few. We can’t make humanity smarter by training a small crop of people over five years. How do we embed decision-making principles into large-scale tools and allow collaboration over this? What is our responsibility to constrain our tools (when it lands in the hands of the uninitiated)? We will examine these questions from an ethics and AI lens.
