The Society of Decision Professionals (SDP) proudly presents a CALL FOR CONTENT for our 2025 Annual Conference in Vancouver, BC Canada.
 

Our 2025 conference theme is, "Collaborating For Better Decisions”. The SDP Annual Conference was born out of a shared desire of decision science practitioners for collaboration and knowledge sharing. Each year, our conference highlights practical experiences and cutting-edge techniques. We emphasize teamwork and diverse perspectives within a rigorous decision framework to tackle complex problems. As AI and other transformative technologies mature, we see an increasingly important role for decision professionals to integrate our skills of framing problems and clarifying values with the incredible analytical power of these systems to improve peoples’ lives.

You are invited to join us as a Speaker or Poster Presenter for our three-day decision making event. Come share your research, ideas, and best practices into a presentation or a poster.  This CALL FOR CONTENT is open to decision science practitioners, researchers and students. 

DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO SEPT 27, 2024

  • Conference Date: March 25 - 27, 2025
  • Deadline for Abstracts is Expired: At this time, we are still accepting Poster submissions.
    Exceptions: If you are late with submitting a talk, reach out to us for review  | sdpevents@decisionprofessionals.com
  • Notification of Acceptance (on or by): November 1, 2024

 

PRESENTATION & POSTER GUIDELINES:

Presentations & Posters are meant to align with our theme of "Collaborating for better decisions”, spark the imagination, encourage dialogue and discussion/creativity, and drive new solutions to our greatest decision making challenges. Consider the following content format options:


  • Interactive Session: Engage attendees win a participatory workshop style (e.g., hands-on problem-solving, practicing skills, discussion).
  • Standard Speaker Slot: Deliver a 20-minute talk (~17 minutes plus Q&A)
  • Poster Presentations: Contribute to our dedicated poster space and networking room.
  • Combined Poster and Speaker Slot: Present to a large audience and then engage personally with attendees at your poster.


*Posters are an important part of networking at our meetings. They provide an opportunity to convey ideas and transfer knowledge and application techniques on a more personal basis. 

There will be recognition (sponsored prizes) for the best posters. 

  

SUBMISSION PROCESS:
  • Submit an abstract of no more than 300 words outlining the key points of your talk, poster or idea using this link: Call for Content Form (For submissions issues contact us at sdpevents@decisionprofessionals.com)
  • All submissions will be reviewed by our conference chairs, poster chair and session chairs.
